Brooks Herringbone, Chevron & Versailles Parquet
Brooks offers oak parquet in all the classic patterns. The engineered blocks are 15mm thick with a 4mm oak wear layer on a stable multi-ply base, and are fully bonded to the subfloor, which is how parquet has always been laid. Glued down, they are suitable for underfloor heating.
Large herringbone
Select and character grade oak in 120mm x 600mm blocks. Bigger blocks mean fewer joins and a bolder pattern, which suits larger rooms.
- Natural: Burghley (UV oiled), Chalfield (brushed UV oiled) and Hatfield (unfinished)
- Pale: Apsley (raw) and Witley (ice white limed)
- Dark and warm: Eastbury (smoked), Chatsworth (cognac stained) and Hardwick (black grained)
Small herringbone
Select grade oak in 70mm x 350mm blocks, for a more traditional, busier pattern that suits hallways and smaller rooms: Eton (UV oiled), Harvard (invisible matt), Yale (ice white limed), Stanford (smoked UV oiled) and Harrow (unfinished).
Chevron
Alnwick is a select grade oak chevron in 120mm x 600mm blocks, cut at 45 degrees and supplied unfinished so you can choose the colour. The angled ends form one continuous zigzag across the room.
Versailles panels
800mm x 800mm panels of brushed, character grade oak, 20mm thick with a 4mm wear layer, laid in the classic Versailles pattern, which brings a grand, French chateau look to a hall or dining room. Solid oak herringbone
For a floor that will last for generations, Brooks also offers 22mm solid oak herringbone in 70mm x 280mm blocks: prime, rustic, rustic tumbled and smoked tumbled. These are bonded down and not suitable for underfloor heating.
Fitting parquet
