Delivery & Shipping Policy

We aim to provide efficient, transparent, and reliable delivery on every order.

1.  Stock Availability & Dispatch

We hold stock of our most popular products. Depending on your order, goods may be dispatched directly from our premises or directly from the manufacturer or supplier. In either case, you will be kept informed of your order status.

Shipping times may vary depending on product availability, order size, and product type. Where a specific lead time applies to your order, this will be confirmed at the time of purchase.

2.  Shipping Charges & Free Delivery

All shipping charges include VAT. The following rates apply:

Floors, Doors & Large Accessories
£30.00 (Free on orders over £500)
3–5 business days

Light Accessories
£15.00 (Free on orders over £500)
3–5 business days

Special Orders (priced on application)
Confirmed at point of quote

Special orders that are priced on application may incur additional delivery charges. These will always be confirmed in writing before your order is finalised.

3.  Delivery Timeframes

For flooring, door, and accessory orders, our typical delivery time is 3 to 5 business days from the point of dispatch. Please be aware that delivery times may be longer during:

Peak seasons (e.g. school holidays, Christmas period)

             Public holidays and bank holidays

Periods of high demand or adverse weather

Deliveries to certain areas of the UK may take longer than our standard timeframes, including Scotland, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Wight, the Isle of Man, and Northern Ireland. Customers in these areas should allow additional time when planning their order.

All delivery dates are estimates. We will do our best to meet the agreed date but cannot accept liability for delays caused by circumstances outside our control, including supplier lead times, haulage delays, or force majeure events.

4.  How Deliveries Are Made

Flooring and door deliveries are made by third-party haulage companies. Deliveries are made to kerbside only, meaning goods will be left at the kerbside at your delivery address. You will be responsible for bringing goods inside your property.

All deliveries are kerbside only. Drivers are not insured to carry goods beyond the kerbside or into your property. If you need assistance beyond kerbside delivery, please contact us before placing your order so we can discuss alternative options.

Deliveries may be made using a range of commercial vehicles, including vehicles up to 18 tonnes. By placing an order, you confirm that your delivery address is accessible to these types of vehicles. If you have any concerns about vehicle access, please notify us before your order is dispatched.

5.  Access Restrictions & Property Types

Please read the following carefully if your delivery address has any access restrictions:

Stepped access: Large quantities of flooring cannot be delivered to properties with stepped access. Goods will be left at the bottom of the steps.

Flats above ground floor: We are unable to deliver large flooring orders to flats above the ground floor, even where a lift is available. Goods will be left at the external doorstep on the ground floor.

Communal areas: We cannot leave deliveries in shared or communal areas.

Narrow roads or restricted access: If your address has narrow roads, weight restrictions, low bridges, or any other access constraints, you must notify us before your order is dispatched. We cannot be held responsible for failed deliveries arising from undisclosed access restrictions.

If any of the above apply to your property, please contact us at the time of ordering so we can discuss the best delivery option for you.

6.  Unloading

Unless an alternative arrangement has been agreed in writing prior to delivery, you or a nominated person must be available at the delivery address to assist with unloading. Third-party drivers are not insured to hand-ball or manually carry goods beyond kerbside.

For larger orders, driver assistance with unloading may be available but cannot be guaranteed. If you anticipate that unloading may be an issue, please let us know at the time of ordering.

7.  Delivery Notifications & Missed Deliveries

Where possible, our haulage partners will provide advance notice of your delivery date. It is your responsibility to ensure someone is available at the delivery address on the agreed day.

If a delivery is missed due to no one being available, or due to access issues that were not disclosed to us in advance, a re-delivery charge may apply. We will contact you to arrange an alternative delivery date in this event.

8.  Inspecting Your Order on Delivery

Please inspect your order carefully at the point of delivery. If you notice any damage, shortfall, or incorrect items, you must:

Note it on the delivery documentation before the driver leaves where possible

Contact us by email at info@newlandfloorsanddoors.co.uk within 24 hours of delivery

Damage or discrepancies reported after 24 hours of delivery may not be eligible for a replacement or refund. Please check your order on the day it arrives.

9.  Payment Before Dispatch

In accordance with our Terms and Conditions of Sale, full payment must be received at least 72 hours before your agreed delivery date. Goods will not be dispatched until payment has cleared in full.

10.  Installation Guidelines – Important Reminder

Newland Floors and Doors is a materials supplier only. Once goods have been delivered, it is the responsibility of your installer to ensure that all products are installed in strict accordance with the manufacturer’s installation guidelines.

Manufacturer warranties may be voided if products are not installed correctly. Please ensure your installer reads and follows the manufacturer’s guidelines before work begins. Newland Floors and Doors accepts no liability for product failures resulting from non-compliant installation.

Installation guidelines are typically included with the product or available on the manufacturer’s website. They can also be requested from us at info@newlandfloorsanddoors.co.uk prior to your delivery.

11.  UK Delivery Only

Newland Floors and Doors currently delivers within the United Kingdom only. We do not accept orders for delivery to the EU or any other international destination. If you are outside the UK and wish to enquire about a purchase, please contact us directly to discuss your options.
