Brooks Wide Plank Oak Flooring
Wide boards mean fewer joins, so the floor looks calmer and the room feels bigger. Every board here is at least 220mm wide and 2200mm long, in real engineered oak.
Balmoral Wide Plank
240mm wide rustic French oak, 14mm thick with a 4mm oak wear layer:
- UV oiled or unfinished for a natural oak colour
- Invisible lacquered, which looks like bare, untreated oak
- Smoked and brushed or Autumn Brown for a darker floor
Blenheim Grand Plank
The same 240mm x 2200mm size, but 20mm thick with a 6mm oak wear layer for the longest possible life. Choose UV oiled, brushed UV oiled or unfinished.
Rustic wide boards
Loch Rannoch XL is 240mm wide, smoked and hand scraped with filled knots. The Remastered boards are 220mm wide extra rustic European oak in Ice White, Invisible Raw, Natural Stone, Mellow Stained and Smoked.
Fitting wide boards
All of these can be floated, nailed or fully bonded and are suitable for underfloor heating up to 27°C. Wide boards show any dips in the subfloor more than narrow ones, so make sure the floor is flat before you start, and use a good underlay if you're floating it.
