Lignum Additions Acousta Gold 3mm Acoustic Underlay (10m² Roll)

Acousta Gold is a 3mm rubber underlay from Lignum Additions, made for floating floors where you want less noise and a more solid feel underfoot. It is dense (850kg/m³), so it cuts impact sound by up to 25dB and stops a laminate or engineered floor sounding hollow when you walk on it. That makes it a good pick for upstairs rooms and flats.

The rubber is a closed cell type with a silver foil layer bonded to it, which acts as a built-in vapour barrier. You don't need a separate damp proof membrane on top of a concrete subfloor, and the rubber helps even out small dips in the floor.

What it's for

• Floating laminate and engineered wood floors, including click systems
• Rooms where noise matters, such as bedrooms over living spaces, and flats
• Concrete or timber subfloors
• Low-temperature underfloor heating (flow temperatures below 45°C). Its thermal resistance is just 0.047m²K/W, so heat gets through to the floor.

How much do I need?

Each roll covers 10m². Measure your room, then add around 5% for trimming. Lay the rolls foil side up, butt the edges together and tape the joins.
