Description
Floorify Stair Profiles let you carry your Floorify floor up the stairs in the same colour and wood design, with no visible joints. Each profile is a ready-formed step edge. You glue it to the stair, then cut a matching plank to fit the tread and click it into place. They are made for Floorify Long Plank and XL Plank click floors.
Choose your profile type
L profile: for straight stair steps
Z profile: for Z-shaped stair steps
C profile: for stairs with a stair nosing, the lip that overhangs the front of the tread

Long Plank or XL Plank?
The colour option shows both. Long Plank profiles are 1500mm long and you need one for every step. XL Plank profiles are 1980mm long, and one profile makes two steps of up to 90cm wide each, which is why they are priced at £122.90 against £61.45 for the Long Plank version. Check which size your floor is, then pick the same colour.
The tread needs planks too. Floorify's price list allows one box of planks for every four steps with Long Planks, or every five steps with XL Planks. See the Floorify plank collection to choose and order them.
Fitting notes
The profiles are glued straight onto the stairs with Soudabond 680 mounting glue, with no underlay. A 600ml sausage covers roughly two 1.5m profiles
The stairs must be clean, dry, stable and flat, and every profile needs full support. Fill any hollow spaces under the nosing, because an unsupported profile can break when walked on
Let the profiles and planks acclimatise flat in the room for at least 12 hours, at 18 to 25°C, and keep that temperature for 24 hours before and after fitting
Work from the bottom step upwards. Cut the profile with a mitre saw and a metal or Trespa blade, and cut the planks from the decor side
If a floating floor continues at the top of the stairs, Floorify recommend a transition profile such as our T-Profile so that floor has its 5mm expansion gap
Good to know
Stair profiles are available in the 27 colours listed in the options and are for click floors only. They are not made for glue-down (dryback) floors. They are an aesthetic finish with no load-bearing strength of their own, so the staircase underneath has to be sound.
