Quick-Step Underlay
The right underlay makes a floor quieter, more comfortable and longer lasting. Quick-Step makes underlays for each of its floor types.
For laminate
- Silent Walk: Quick-Step's premium underlay, with the best in-room sound reduction and high compressive strength for busy areas. Suitable for underfloor heating
- Unisound: a good all-rounder with a built-in vapour barrier and strong sound insulation, for busy rooms and concrete floors
- Basic Plus: a cost-effective underlay for bedrooms and home offices, also in a 60m² roll
For laminate and wood
- Uniclic underlay: 3mm, protects the click joints and evens out small dips. Suits bedrooms and lofts
- Thermolevel: 5mm, for uneven subfloors and laying over old tiles. Not for underfloor heating
- Softboard: 4mm natural wood fibre boards that smooth out minor height differences
For Alpha Vinyl
Blos Base and Oro Base need a vinyl underlay. Choose Comfort to level small dips and reduce sound, or Heat for underfloor heating and sunny rooms. The other Alpha Vinyl ranges have an underlay attached and don't need one.
On a concrete subfloor, use PE film as a moisture barrier if your underlay doesn't have one. See all our underlay.
