Ted Todd Specialist Woods Flooring
Specialist Woods goes beyond oak. It's a small collection of engineered floors in other hardwoods and softwoods, each picked for its own colour and grain, and none of them stained.
The woods
- American black walnut: Ingleton and Rivington are hardwax oiled, while Blackmuir and Rockingham are supplied unfinished. All four come as 190mm and 220mm planks. Mimas is an unfinished walnut narrow herringbone
- Douglas fir: Delamere, unfinished, in 220mm and 260mm extra wide planks and a 300mm super wide plank, up to 3m long
- Larch: Oster, a pale, unfinished 190mm plank
- Morado: Darwin, satin lacquered, as a 135mm narrow plank and a narrow herringbone
- Tajibo: Birnham, satin lacquered, as a 135mm narrow plank and a narrow herringbone
- Pippy burr oak: Winterfold, an unfinished 190mm plank with swirling burr figure and small pin knots
Things to know
- Most planks are 19mm or 20mm thick with a 6mm wear layer of the featured wood
- Unfinished boards are sanded and finished on site with your choice of oil, lacquer or stain. See Ted Todd's oils and lacquers
- Most can be floated, nailed or fully bonded. The 260mm and 300mm Delamere boards are fully bonded only
- Suitable for underfloor heating with a Fidbox sensor
