Description
Tannins are natural compounds in wood. Moisture carries them to the surface, where they bleed through the finish as a yellowish brown stain, and the problem shows most under light colours like white. Treatex Stain Inhibitor is an easy-to-apply primer that stops the tannins reaching the surface.
Exterior timbers with high tannin levels, such as oak, idigbo, teak, cedar and mahogany, should be primed with Stain Inhibitor before being sealed with the Treatex Classic Colour Collection.
