Treatex | Eco Colours

Treatex Eco Colours is an odourless, water-based paint for interior and exterior timber. It is microporous, water repellent and UV resistant, made from natural oils and resins from renewable sources, and contains 72% natural ingredients including water. It is safe for children's toys and has no biocides or toxic ingredients.

There are five primary colours, black, white, red, yellow and blue, and they can be mixed to make any shade you need. It suits sheds, doors, windows, fences, garden houses, cladding, kitchen cabinets, toys, garden furniture and even bee hives. Treatex does not recommend it for decking.

Key facts

• Pack sizes: 0.5L and 1L
• Coverage: about 12 to 15m² per litre in one coat
• Colours: Black, White, Red, Yellow and Blue
• Conditions: apply between 8 and 25 degrees Celsius and below 65% humidity
• Use: interior and exterior; most timber species

How to use it

It works best on unfinished timber, so remove previous finishes and make sure the surfaces are dry and clean. High tannin timbers such as teak, oak, cedar and mahogany should be treated outdoors with Stain Inhibitor first to prevent staining. Apply with a brush or roller, and rough sawn timber will use more.
