Treatex | Hand Brush

Treatex hand brushes are trade-quality brushes for applying Treatex finishes and other oil-based products, on interior and exterior timber. Smaller sizes are good for edges, mouldings and detail, and the wider ones cover doors, boards and larger areas faster.

Caring for your brush

Treatex suggests wrapping wet brushes in a plastic bag between coats to stop them drying out, and cleaning them with Treatex Thinner or white spirit when you finish. A 2 inch or 6 inch brush is also what Treatex recommends for applying Wood Rejuvenator. Used oily cloths and rags should be laid flat to dry before you throw them away, because oils that cure can heat up and in rare cases catch fire if they are left screwed up.

Works well with

For floors, take a look at the wider Treatex floor brushes, and use a roller tray if you are rolling. Typical finishes are Hardwax Oil Ultra Clear and Exterior Oils.
