Treatex | Teak Protection 1L

Treatex Teak Protection is a solvent-free oil for untreated teak and iroko, made for garden furniture and boat decks. It is UV and water resistant, will not flake or peel, and is made from natural, sustainable oils such as linseed and sunflower. Treatex says it is safe even on children's toys.

• Not for: high tannin timbers such as oak and sweet chestnut

How to use it

Only works on bare timber, so remove any earlier finish first. If the wood has turned grey and weathered, sand it back or use Wood Rejuvenator to bring back its natural colour. Make sure it is dry and clean with moisture content below 18%, and mix tins together if you need more than one. Used oily cloths and rags should be laid flat to dry before you throw them away, because oils that cure can heat up and in rare cases catch fire if they are left screwed up.
