For installations using underlay, Woodpecker Floormate is the top choice. At 3mm thick, Floormate offers exceptional moisture protection and acoustic insulation, making it ideal for high-traffic areas such as hallways and living spaces. Made from recycled rubber, Floormate is not only robust and durable, but also an eco-conscious flooring solution. Designed to last the lifetime of your floor, this rubber crumb underlay is widely recognised for its strength, flexibility, and long-term performance.

If you have underfloor heating, we recommend fully bonding your engineered hardwood flooring to the subfloor for maximum efficiency. The Woodpecker MS Parquet Adhesive is a high-performance, single-part adhesive that remains permanently flexible, securing boards while allowing natural movement. With an open time of 40 minutes and cure time of just 6 hours, this adhesive is perfect for use on absorbent substrates like concrete (below 70% RH) and even non-absorbent surfaces like tiles, marble, or metal. Use a B3 or B6 notched trowel for optimal coverage—B3 for up to 15m² and B6 for up to 12m² per tub.
