Goodrich can be secret nailed onto various timber subfloors, including solid wood flooring, plywood, OSB, particleboard, and securely adhered vinyl tile or non-cushioned resilient floors installed on a wood subfloor.

Gluing Down:
For direct gluing, Goodrich can be applied to concrete, ceramic tiles, terrazzo, metal, slate, marble, OSB, or plywood. Ensure the surface is rough or porous. Slick or sealed surfaces should be pre-sanded, especially gypsum and anhydrite screeds, to remove soft surface laitance. When gluing to concrete, use Woodpecker 11P Surface Primer for a strong bond. Gypsum or anhydrite screeds require additional preparation with Woodpecker Level-X Primer and Level-X levelling compound to remove soft surface laitance.

Floating:
A floating floor installation is suitable for concrete, anhydrite, existing wood floor chipboard, ceramic tiles, terrazzo, metal, PVC, linoleum, slate, marble, particleboard, OSB, and plywood subfloors (excluding carpet). Choose an underlay with a built-in damp-proof membrane, such as Floormate or Aquastop, based on the subfloor condition.

How do I clean my Chepstow floor?

To maintain this oiled floor's beauty, use our specially formulated cleaning liquid for oiled floors. Alternatively, a well-wrung mop with water is suitable. Avoid using steam mops or other solutions on our floors.

Does Chepstow flooring require acclimatization before installation?

Yes, we advise letting your Chepstow floor acclimatize for 3 to 4 days in the same room where it will be installed. Keep it within the sealed packaging to prevent warping due to temperature changes. Avoid storing the flooring in damp or outdoor areas.

What condition should the subfloor be in for Chepstow flooring?

Ensure the subfloor is structurally sound, free from dampness, rot, or insect infestations. It should be flat, with no uneven areas exceeding 3mm over a 2m span. Vacuum and remove any debris before installation. Insulate hot pipes to prevent localized hotspots that may affect the flooring.

Color variation is the natural variation in color that occurs in real wood. Blend planks from different packs across the room to achieve a balanced color effect.

Is Chepstow flooring compatible with underfloor heating?

How much wastage should I allow for Chepstow flooring?

We recommend allowing for 10% wastage, though this may vary based on room shape, laying style, and other factors. Always consult your installer for accurate measurements.

All flooring deliveries are curb-side, meaning you will need to carry the goods into your property. Delivery Details

• Availability: If no one is available to accept your delivery at the provided address, a re-delivery charge will apply when you reschedule.
• Delivery Vehicles: Deliveries can be made in various commercial vehicles, including up to 18-tonne lorries. It is assumed that the property is easily accessible to these vehicle types.
• Access Restrictions: Flooring cannot be delivered to properties with stepped access, flats above the ground floor (regardless of lift access), or left in communal areas. For flats, orders will be left at the ground floor external doorstep. For residential properties with stepped access, flooring will be left at the bottom of the steps. Drivers may need assistance with unloading larger items. If access is likely to be a problem, please inform us at the time of order to discuss alternative delivery options.
• Doorstep Delivery: Doorstep delivery is available for lighter parcels. Depending on the courier, you will receive delivery time updates. Please leave your mobile number when checking out.
