Nailing Down:
Harlech can be secret nailed onto various timber subfloors, including solid wood flooring, plywood, OSB, particleboard, and securely adhered vinyl tile or non-cushioned resilient floors installed on a wood subfloor.

Gluing Down:
For direct gluing, Harlech can be applied to concrete, ceramic tiles, terrazzo, metal, slate, marble, OSB, or plywood. Ensure the surface is rough or porous. Slick or sealed surfaces should be pre-sanded, especially gypsum and anhydrite screeds, to remove soft surface laitance. When gluing to concrete, use Woodpecker 11P Surface Primer for a strong bond. Gypsum or anhydrite screeds require additional preparation with Woodpecker Level-X Primer and Level-X levelling compound to remove soft surface laitance.

Floating:
A floating floor installation is suitable for concrete, anhydrite, existing wood floor chipboard, ceramic tiles, terrazzo, metal, PVC, linoleum, slate, marble, particleboard, OSB, and plywood subfloors (excluding carpet). Choose an underlay with a built-in damp-proof membrane, such as Floormate or Aquastop, based on the subfloor condition.

How do I clean my Highclere floor?

All Highclere floors feature a brushed and matt lacquered finish, allowing you to use our dedicated cleaning kit for lacquered floors. Alternatively, maintain its cleanliness with a well-wrung damp mop.

What is the thickness of Highclere flooring?

Highclere flooring boasts a thickness of 15mm, including a 4mm real oak wear layer.

Is installing Highclere flooring more challenging than plank flooring?

Yes, patterned flooring like herringbone can be more intricate to install than traditional plank flooring. Achieving a seamless layout requires precise measurement and placement to avoid gaps. We recommend hiring an experienced installer for optimal results.

Does this floor have matching styles available?

Indeed, this floor is complemented by a matching plank in our Harlech range and a smaller herringbone design in our Goodrich range.

Can I use underfloor heating with Highclere flooring?

Yes, Highclere flooring is compatible when fully adhered.

All Woodpecker deliveries are made either from Woodpecker's main warehouse or our store in Coleford, Gloucestershire. We keep stock of our most popular lines, so please allow up to 5 working days for standard delivery. All flooring deliveries are curb-side, meaning you will need to carry the goods into your property. Delivery Details

• Availability: If no one is available to accept your delivery at the provided address, a re-delivery charge will apply when you reschedule.
• Delivery Vehicles: Deliveries can be made in various commercial vehicles, including up to 18-tonne lorries. It is assumed that the property is easily accessible to these vehicle types.
• Access Restrictions: Flooring cannot be delivered to properties with stepped access, flats above the ground floor (regardless of lift access), or left in communal areas. For flats, orders will be left at the ground floor external doorstep. For residential properties with stepped access, flooring will be left at the bottom of the steps. Drivers may need assistance with unloading larger items. If access is likely to be a problem, please inform us at the time of order to discuss alternative delivery options.
• Doorstep Delivery: Doorstep delivery is available for lighter parcels. Depending on the courier, you will receive delivery time updates. Please leave your mobile number when checking out.

Exceptions and Non-Returnable Items:
Please note that only regular-priced items are eligible for refunds. Unfortunately, sale items cannot be refunded.

If you wish to exchange an item, the fastest way is to return the item you have and, once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
