Floorify Performance Underlay is the 1.5mm underlay Floorify require for their Lifetime residential warranty on click vinyl floors. It is firmer than the Comfort option, so it supports the click joints well, and it lets heat through easily, which is why Floorify point to it for underfloor heating and cooling.
When to choose Performance
Go for this one if you want the Lifetime warranty, if the floor is going over underfloor heating, or if you are laying a herringbone, chevron or twist pattern. Floorify recommend it for those patterns because the firmer composition gives the click connections better support. It also suits busy rooms such as halls, kitchens, restaurants and offices, where it cuts reflected noise, which is the sound bouncing around inside the room. If your main worry is footsteps carrying to the room below, the Comfort Underlay is the better fit.
Warranty
Floorify's residential warranty is 25 years as standard and becomes a Lifetime warranty when the floor is laid over Performance Underlay. The warranty also asks for the floor to be installed and cared for following Floorify's instructions, using approved Floorify accessories, so it makes sense to buy your underlay, trims and cleaning products from the same range.
Underfloor heating
Thermal resistance is only 0.009 m²K/W, so heat passes through easily. Floorify's data sheet approves it for standard underfloor heating systems in a cement screed. It is not suitable for, or tested with, electric heating film.
Click floors only
This underlay is for Floorify click planks and tiles. Glue-down (dryback) floors are stuck straight to the subfloor and do not use an underlay.
