Gluing Down:

For direct gluing, Design Panels can be applied to concrete, ceramic tiles, terrazzo, metal, slate, marble, OSB, or plywood. Ensure the surface is rough or porous. Slick or sealed surfaces should be pre-sanded, especially gypsum and anhydrite screeds, to remove soft surface laitance. When gluing to concrete, use Woodpecker 11P Surface Primer for a strong bond. Gypsum or anhydrite screeds require additional preparation with Woodpecker Level-X Primer and Level-X levelling compound to remove soft surface laitance.

Can I use underfloor heating with these Design Panels?

Yes, our Design Panels are compatible with underfloor heating systems.

How should these Design Panels be laid?

These panels should be fully glued down during installation.

How long should the Design Panels acclimatize for?

We recommend letting your Design Panels acclimatize for 3 to 4 days in the same room where they will be installed. Ensure they remain within the sealed packaging to prevent warping due to temperature changes.

What condition should the subfloor be in for installing Design Panels?

The subfloor must be structurally sound, free from dampness, rot, or insect infestations, and flat with no uneven areas exceeding 3mm over a 2m span. Vacuum and clean the surface thoroughly before installation to remove any debris.

How do I clean the Design Panels?

Our Design Panels can be cleaned using our specially formulated cleaning liquid for oiled floors. Alternatively, a well-wrung mop with water is suitable for regular cleaning. Avoid using steam mops or other solutions.

What joints do the Design Panels have?

The Design Panels feature tongue and groove joints for a secure fit during installation.

How long does it take for Design Panels to arrive?

Please allow at least 6 weeks for your Design Panels to arrive as each board is meticulously handcrafted to order.

Do I need to leave expansion gaps with Design Panels?

Yes, expansion gaps are necessary to accommodate the natural expansion and contraction of wood due to changes in temperature and humidity. Follow the recommended guidelines for spacing at walls, structural supports, doorways, and other transitions to ensure proper installation.

All Woodpecker deliveries are made either from Woodpecker's main warehouse or our store in Coleford, Gloucestershire. We keep stock of our most popular lines, so please allow up to 5 working days for standard delivery. All flooring deliveries are curb-side, meaning you will need to carry the goods into your property. If this is likely to be a problem, please inform us at the time of your order to discuss alternative delivery options.

Delivery Details

  • Availability: If no one is available to accept your delivery at the provided address, a re-delivery charge will apply when you reschedule.
  • Delivery Vehicles: Deliveries can be made in various commercial vehicles, including up to 18-tonne lorries. It is assumed that the property is easily accessible to these vehicle types.
  • Access Restrictions: Flooring cannot be delivered to properties with stepped access, flats above the ground floor (regardless of lift access), or left in communal areas. For flats, orders will be left at the ground floor external doorstep. For residential properties with stepped access, flooring will be left at the bottom of the steps. Drivers may need assistance with unloading larger items. If access is likely to be a problem, please inform us at the time of order to discuss alternative delivery options.
  • Doorstep Delivery: Doorstep delivery is available for lighter parcels. Depending on the courier, you will receive delivery time updates. Please leave your mobile number when checking out.
