Treatex | WPC Cleaner

Treatex WPC Cleaner is a user-friendly, environmentally friendly cleaner for wood plastic composite (WPC) surfaces. It removes dirt, algae, grease, oils and other contaminants from smooth or textured WPC, including the grooves and crevices.

WPC is often sold as maintenance free, but Treatex points out that it is still a porous surface that needs a cleaner that reaches deeper than the top layer. It is also usually softer than natural timber, so a pressure washer can do more harm than good.

Key facts

• Pack sizes: 1L and 5L
• Surfaces: smooth or textured WPC, Resysta and synthetic rattan windows, doors, decking and garden furniture
• Dilution: neat or diluted 1 part cleaner to 10 parts water, depending on how dirty the surface is
• Coverage: 15 to 70ml of cleaner in 1 litre of water cleans roughly 15 to 70m²
• Conditions: do not use below 8 degrees Celsius

How to use it

Apply with a brush or sponge and leave for around 3 to 5 minutes, then scrub with a soft bristle brush, pad or cloth and rinse with clean water. Work in small areas so the cleaner does not dry on the surface, and repeat once the surface has dried if needed. Treatex recommends a trial application first.
