Treatex Wood Floor Cleaning & Maintenance

A wood floor finished with Treatex Hardwax Oil is easy to keep looking good, as long as you use the right products. Treatex recommends cleaning oiled floors only with its own Floor Care or Spray On cleaner. When the floor starts to look tired, you can refresh it with Preparation Cleaner and Wax Polish.

Everyday cleaning

• Spray On Floor & Surface Cleaner: ready to use. Spray lightly and wipe with a mop or cloth
• Spray On refill: 100ml of concentrate makes 10 bottles, with less plastic
• Floor Care: a concentrate for mop and bucket, 25 to 50ml in 5 litres of water. It leaves a thin layer of wax behind
• Microfibre floor mop: can be used dry, with machine washable pads

Refreshing a tired floor

Clean worn areas with Preparation Cleaner, which lifts dirt, grease and a thin layer of old wax. Once it's dry, wipe on a very thin coat of Wax Polish and leave it 3 to 4 hours. If the finish has worn through to bare wood, recoat with Hardwax Oil Ultra Clear instead.

Kits

The Wood Floor Cleaning Kit has a microfibre mop and a 1L Spray On cleaner for everyday cleaning. The Cleaning & Maintenance Kit has Floor Care, Wax Polish and a Scotch pad for cleaning and refreshing.

Laminate, vinyl and lacquered floors

For floors that aren't oiled, Treatex Laminate Cleaner cleans laminate, lacquered wood, vinyl, cork, linoleum, stone and tiles. Don't use it on Hardwax Oil floors.

A few simple rules help any wood floor last: use a damp mop, never a wet one, and don't leave water standing on the wood. For cleaning products from other brands, see all cleaning and maintenance.
