Herringbone or chevron?

Herringbone blocks are cut square at the ends and laid in a zigzag, so each block meets the next at a right angle. Chevron blocks are cut at an angle, so the ends meet in a clean point and form a continuous V. Herringbone has a more traditional look, and chevron a more modern one.
